Pedro Neto came back into the Chelsea team for their 3-0 win against Aston Villa earlier.

Pedro Neto was excellent for Chelsea in their 1-1 draw with Arsenal just before the international break, scoring his side’s all-important equaliser.

However, he missed the Blues’ following game against Leicester City because of a minor knock.

Neto, though, was fit enough to start the Villa match and caught Chelsea supporters’ eyes in the first half. Before the clash, Jamie Carragher spoke about Neto, stating that he wanted to see more from the winger.

Chelsea fans go crazy over Pedro Neto’s crossing

Neto did not assist either of Chelsea’s first two goals in the first half. However, the 24-year-old could have easily registered one after some of the crosses he put in.

Neto whipped in some dangerous balls on the afternoon, which did not go unnoticed.

@CFCZipp wrote on X: “These Neto crosses are something else.”

@RemyCFC said: “Pedro Neto’s crosses into the box have been amazing today.”

And finally, @CFCBeyond posted: “How beautiful are those crosses from Neto?”

Noni Madueke has been Chelsea’s first-choice right winger this season, but Enzo Maresca decided to go with Neto for the Villa game.

Will Pedro Neto start against Southampton?

Chelsea are back in Premier League action on Wednesday when they travel to St Mary’s to take on Southampton.

Neto probably provided enough of a threat earlier to keep his place in the team. But with the Portuguese having had some injury problems in recent seasons and it being a midweek game, it would not be a complete shock if Madueke came back into the side.

Whether it is Neto, Madueke or Jadon Sancho who starts, Chelsea have a really dangerous right flank. And if Reece James could stay fit, it would be even more dangerous.

The right-back is injured once again, but James does not need surgery, which will come as a relief to Chelsea supporters.

Malo Gusto has also had a couple of minor problems this season, so right-back has been a bit of an issue for Maresca.
