Chelsea star Cole Palmer is putting up numbers that can rival Erling Haaland’s.
Cole Palmer got his name on the scoresheet in Chelsea‘s 3-0 win against West Ham United earlier with a very nice strike.
It was his second goal in the Premier League this season and sixth goal contribution in total, with the attacker also registering four assists.
Haaland is already on nine goals, but if you go back to the last campaign, the full picture looks good for Palmer. Former Chelsea player Gus Poyet had some advice for Palmer going into this weekend’s London derby.

How Chelsea’s Cole Palmer and Manchester City’s Erling Haaland compare
Looking at goals alone, Palmer is obviously no match for Haaland. At this moment in time, no one is.
The 24-year-old is the best centre-forward in the world, scoring 38 times in 45 outings for Manchester City last season.
However, since making his Premier League debut for Chelsea last September, Palmer has registered more goal contributions (39) than Haaland (38) in the top flight following his strike at the London Stadium.
Of course, Haaland can match or surpass that when Manchester City take on Arsenal on Sunday.
But as of now, his former teammate has been directly involved in a Premier League goal being scored more times than him since making his bow in Chelsea blue.
Before the win against West Ham, Enzo Maresca claimed that Palmer would become a target for defenders this season, but that did not stop him from making an impact at the London Stadium.
Erling Haaland the only attacker better than Cole Palmer in the Premier League
The Premier League has a lot of talented forwards, including the likes of Mohamed Salah, Son Heung-min and Bruno Fernandes.
Right now, though, Haaland is probably the only offensive player in the division you would choose over Palmer.
The England international’s numbers have been ridiculous since he joined Chelsea from City.
Many will point out that Palmer has scored a lot of penalties. But he is creating chances and goals constantly, making him the complete attacker.
