Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca would have been happy with his side’s performance against Barrow in the Carabao Cup.
Chelsea beat Barrow 5-0, with Christopher Nkunku managing to score a hat-trick. After the game, Maresca had a lot of praise for Nkunku.
However, while Maresca would have been pleased with what he saw on the night, the 44-year-old was still very firm with his team.
They face Brighton & Hove Albion in the Premier League next, looking to make it three top-flight wins in a row.

Enzo Maresca’s clear instructions to Cesare Casadei
Cesare Casadei is a player whom Maresca knows well. The Chelsea manager worked with the midfielder for half a season at Leicester City.
However, according to LondonWorld, Maresca still had to warn Casadei not to leave his midfield spot during Tuesday night’s game.
It was Casadei’s first start of the season, and you would not expect him to get too many more, especially if Romeo Lavia can remain fit this term.
Lavia is set to return from injury and is one of several good midfield options that Maresca currently has in his squad.
Cesare Casadei could have to leave Chelsea in January
Outside of the Carabao Cup and Conference League, then, Casadei is unlikely to get many opportunities.
So far this season, he is yet to play any minutes in the Premier League, despite Lavia, Enzo Fernandez and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall having all missed games.
“The profile is very good,” Pochettino said when talking about Casadei last year after watching him in pre-season. The Italian is not a terrible player.
However, he is competing against midfielders who cost more than £100m. If he wants regular game time this season, then a move in January will have to be considered.
But if Casadei is content with his role, a player whom Maresca is really familiar with, it is not impossible that the former Inter Milan youngster remains at Stamford Bridge the whole campaign.
