Tosin Adarabioyo and Chelsea had another game to forget after losing 3-1 to Nottingham Forest on Monday afternoon.
Adarabioyo was excellent in Chelsea’s last match versus Leeds United, but the defender and his teammates absolutely fell apart against Forest.
Understandably, Stamford Bridge was far from happy with Adarabioyo and the rest of Calum McFarlane’s side and let them all know that.
Which Chelsea player was most at fault for the defeat to Nottingham Forest?
Chelsea supporters lost it with Tosin Adarabioyo after one wayward pass
Adarabioyo has been heavily criticised by Chelsea fans this season, but he won some supporters after the 1-0 victory over Leeds in the FA Cup semi-final.
Some Chelsea fans urged the club to keep hold of Adarabioyo after that game, but he may have lost some of those backers following the defeat to Forest.
As per Sky Sports journalist Peter Smith, there was a moment during the match which saw Adarabioyo play a long ball straight out of play. It resulted in Chelsea fans booing.
The 28-year-old was substituted at half-time and was replaced by Levi Colwill, who made his long-awaited comeback from injury.
Chelsea fans, it’s time to have a discussion about Marc Cucurella…
Not good enough for Nottingham Forest's opener!
With Colwill fit again, he could now take Adarabioyo’s spot in McFarlane’s starting XI, while Jorrel Hato is another option.
Hato was starting to cement his place in the first team before McFarlane dropped him for the FA Cup semi-final, with the Chelsea interim manager wanting to bring in Adarabioyo’s height to combat Leeds’ threat from set pieces.
It worked that day, but the former Fulham man was helpless against Forest and struggled to contain Taiwo Awoniyi.
