Journalist Nizaar Kinsella has claimed that Malang Sarr was unable to find a move away from Chelsea on deadline day yesterday.

He took to Twitter to state that the defender is now going to have to look for a new club in a country where the transfer market is still open.

Sarr became quite a popular choice for the first team under Thomas Tuchel when he was signed.

However, it became clear that he was not going to be of the standard required for the club to progress with him in the backline.

He ended up spending last season on loan at Monaco, with his time in the first team seeming to be over.

The Frenchman was not included in the travelling squad that visited the United States for the pre-season tour this summer.

Sarr unable to find transfer

Given the fact that Mauricio Pochettino has not even looked to integrate the player into his squad suggests that he is completely out of his thinking.

Selling him this summer has not proven easy though. The player earns a weekly salary of £120k-a-week.

Now, Kinsella has claimed as a result of this he was unable to find a club to sign him before the transfer window closed last night.

He said: “Malang Sarr hasn’t found a move away before the transfer window closes tonight.

“He will need to look at the remaining markets where transfer windows stay open including Belgium, Turkey and Saudi Arabia.”

With the recent signing of Axel Disasi and the integration of Levi Colwill to the first team, opportunities will simply not be available for Sarr for the foreseeable future.
