Journalist Matt Law has claimed that one Chelsea player has actually been through a lot of work behind the scenes in order to return to fitness again.
He told the ‘London is Blue’ podcast that Carney Chukwuemeka has gone through a lot of mechanical work since getting injured earlier this season, with his return seemingly imminent.
Chukwuemeka was seemingly going to be a big part of Mauricio Pochettino’s plans for this season after being named in the starting side for the opening two fixtures.

Just minutes after he found the net for the first time in a Chelsea shirt, he fell to what looked a painful injury against West Ham.
It was believed he could be set for a number of weeks on the sidelines. However, it has now been the best part of four months since the £20m signing has been seen on the pitch.
Law has claimed that a lot of unique work has gone in behind the scenes on bringing the midfielder back to fitness, including teaching him a new way to run.
Chukwuemeka taught new way to run
He said: “He’s close now. It seems that his injury was a lot worse than we know about. I’ve been told that mechanically, he’s been taught how to run in a different way to stop getting injured.
“They’ve had to put in some real work with him, and he may have had to change his running style and his mechanics of how he moves his body to make sure he can stay fit in future.”
Law went on to say that it is expected the Blues are aiming for the FA Cup match against Aston Villa to be one where he makes his long-awaited return.
If this is true, he will be coming up against his former team for the first time in his career.
