Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino is hoping that one of his youngsters can help improve the team’s training.

Chelsea recently recalled Cesare Casadei from his loan spell at Leicester City and he is now set to remain at Stamford Bridge.

According to the Evening Standard, Mauricio Pochettino is actually hoping that the midfielder will boost the training level at Cobham once he is reintegrated into the squad.

Casadei was not having a terrible time at Leicester. There he was top of the Championship table and was getting game time.

In total, the Italian made 25 appearances and scored three goals. However, it has been reported that Chelsea wanted him back at the club because of their injury crisis this season.

We are not exactly sure how Casadei is going to improve how Chelsea train. However, it was probably still a good idea to recall him.

The Blues have had a lot of injuries in midfield this term, with Romeo Lavia out again and Lesley Ugochukwu also sidelined.

The club do not have to try and fix everything with the transfer window. Bringing back Casadei and having him plug a hole makes sense.

The former Inter Milan youth player has had a taste of English football after his loan spells at Leicester and Reading. It will now be interesting to see if he can make the step up to the Premier League.

It could be a baptism of fire for Casadei, with Chelsea’s next top-flight fixture coming against Liverpool at Anfield. If Enzo Fernandez, Moises Caicedo and Conor Gallagher do not pick up any injuries, though, you would expect the Italy U21 international to have a very minor role in that game if he is called upon by Pochettino on that evening.
