Chelsea’s injuries issue seem to continue to be piling up as another top player has been spotted absent from training this week.
Pictures on the club’s official app don’t show defender Benoit Badiashile in action, after he was absent from the club’s last game against Luton Town.
Badiashile missed a large section of the early season after he was forced to wait a long time before returning from an injury he suffered when Frank Lampard was in charge at the backend of the prior campaign.

He had to wait until November to make his first appearance of the season in the EFL Cup, which he marked with a goal against Blackburn Rovers.
His form in the Premier League matches since then has come into question at times. He looked particularly shaky in the recent dramatic win in the cup against Newcastle.
It was claimed that he had been playing while ill in this period, however he was not present in any capacity for the entertaining victory against Luton that sounded off 2023.
Badiashile not in training
Now, as pictures have begun to emerge of the squad getting their preparation in for the return to football, Badiashile has been one of the players not present up to now.
Romeo Lavia has also not been seen in training this week after he made his debut towards the end of last year.
However, Mauricio Pochettino stressed that he was concerned for his fitness after noting that he could hardly run towards the end of his first appearance.
He was also not seen away to Luton, with many left anxiously waiting to hear just how bad a setback he has suffered.
With Badiashile not fit, there will still be a large amount of importance placed on the shoulders of Thiago Silva, as he continues to star at the age of 39.
