Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher has been heavily linked with a move away from the Blues, but it does look like the two parties have at least discussed the possibility of a new contract.
Chelsea and Conor Gallagher have held pre-contract talks, according to football.london.
However, there is some way to go before the 23-year-old puts pen to paper on a fresh deal. The outlet has claimed that nothing is on the table yet, while the player wants a more lucrative offer than his current terms given how important he is to the team now.
Gallagher has only missed one game in the Premier League this season, and that was because of suspension.
Journalist Gianluca Di Marzio recently claimed that Tottenham Hotspur are in talks with Chelsea over a potential deal for Gallagher.

Does Conor Gallagher deserve a pay rise?
You would have to say yes. There is just no way he can sign a new contract with the same terms. His status in the Chelsea squad has gone up massively since he put pen to paper on his last deal.
Gallagher is the Chelsea captain right now with both Reece James and Ben Chilwell unavailable for selection.
He has also been a tackling machine for the Blues this season. He has made 52 tackles in the current Premier League campaign, putting him in the top 10 players for that category.
It is clear, though, that a new contract is not a guarantee and a sale is more than possible.
Gallagher’s existing deal expires in 2025. Considering that and the links to Tottenham, it would not be a shock if he left Chelsea this month or in the summer.
The Blues should be looking to keep hold of him given how important he has become to Mauricio Pochettino, but all options seem to be on the table at present.
