Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino is under pressure right now.
Chelsea remain in ninth place and are at risk of missing out on Europa League football when the club’s aim at the start of the season was Champions League qualification.
This summer, Pochettino will have just one year remaining on his contract and the Argentine has done nothing to prove that he deserves an extension.
Ultimately, things are not looking good for him. While Chelsea were able to earn a point from their 2-2 draw with Aston Villa over the weekend, fans will not be forgetting about the heavy 5-0 defeat to Arsenal before that any time soon.
They take on Arsenal’s north London rivals Tottenham Hotspur next.

Are the Chelsea players still backing Mauricio Pochettino?
Chelsea lost 5-0 against Arsenal and then went 2-0 down at Villa Park.
However, in the game against Villa, they obviously fought back to make it 2-2.
After the match, Marc Cucurella was asked if Chelsea’s second-half turnaround showed that the dressing room want Pochettino to stay.
In response, the 25-year-old left-back said to the Evening Standard: “Yes, for sure. He spoke very well at half-time, and all the people saw the team’s reaction.
“A lot of the games we don’t win — and that is part of the game — but I think it is more the whole problem because we have the quality and maybe we don’t show what we can do.”
The support Mauricio Pochettino really needs
In the defence of the Chelsea players, there has not really been a moment in the season where it has looked like they have given up on Pochettino.
They actually do seem to be behind him. The reality is the team have just been bad.
However, the support that Pochettino obviously needs is from the top, from the likes of Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali.
When that is completely gone, then so will the former Paris Saint-Germain boss.
