A poll conducted by GOAL has seen Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois voted as the 18th best player in world football.
The Belgian was sold by Chelsea in 2018, after making it clear he wanted to leave the club to explore new ventures.
In truth, Courtois has enjoyed arguably the best year of his career.

The highlight will no doubt be winning the Champions League with a record-breaking Real Madrid side, who had performed miracles to even reach the final.
These feats of brilliance came at the expense of Chelsea, who were dumped out in the quarter-finals in heart-breaking fashion.
The 30-year-old went on to put in a player of the match display in the final against Liverpool, helping the La Liga side to their 14th European Cup.
Courtois voted best goalkeeper
The World Cup was not so positive for Courtois, with Belgium being dumped out in the group stages at the expense of Croatia and Morocco.
Nevertheless, the former Blue has made it onto GOAL’s fan-voted list as the highest rated player in his position.
They said: “The world’s top goalkeeper, Courtois was influential as Real Madrid won a record-extending 14th Champions League by defeating Liverpool 1-0 in Paris, with the Belgian stopper pulling off a series of outstanding stops in the final.”

Between the sticks at Stamford Bridge right now, there is an element of uncertainty regarding the future of both first team options.
Edouard Mendy has seemingly lost his place as the number one under new manager Graham Potter, with reports saying he is now looking for options away from West London.
Kepa Arrizabalaga meanwhile, who has shown a resurgence in form since the managerial change, is also reportedly not being seen as a long-term option, with summer reinforcements likely next year.
