Reports have claimed that one Chelsea player will now be unable to represent his side in the EFL Cup final that is due to take place later this month.
According to the Evening Standard, defender Benoit Badiashile is set to be out of action for around a month after his most recent injury suffered in the FA Cup win over Aston Villa.
Badiashile and Axel Disasi formed quite the partnership at the back last week in the 3-1 win at Villa Park.

In a game that could potentially have extended manager Mauricio Pochettino’s time at the club, the former Monaco duo marshalled the likes of Ollie Watkins completely out of the game.
It was certainly the £35m player’s best performance of the season so far, however he was unable to get through 90 minutes without picking up an injury.
The Frenchman hobbled off late in the game, with the manager admitting in his recent press conference that he would need to assess his fitness ahead of tonight’s game against Crystal Palace.
Badiashile out for a month
However, recent reports have stated that he will certainly not be in action, and instead is looking at least at another month on the side following a groin problem.
This will mean he will be unavailable for selection for the League Cup final against Liverpool at Wembley in just two weeks’ time.
Pochettino will likely be calling upon Levi Colwill to take his place in the upcoming weeks, after he was ruled out recently due to a shoulder issue.
It remains to be seen who he will be partnering, with Thiago Silva perhaps looking at some games on the bench following their recent showcase without him in the side.
While it has been claimed there is no issue between coach and player, the surprise Pochettino reacted with when asked about his omission from the side recently was telling.
