Journalist Bobby Vincent has claimed that Chelsea defender Benoit Badiashile is really excited to return to action.
He told Football London that the Frenchman is working tirelessly to get back to full fitness.
Badiashile is yet to feature this season, meaning he has been unable to prove his worth to new manager Mauricio Pochettino.
The Frenchman suffered an injury in training at the back end of last season, which has ended up being quite a serious one.
The defence has seen very few changes at Stamford Bridge this season. Thiago Silva and Axel Disasi have been ever presents in the middle.
Badiashile excited to return
However, not all supporters are fully convinced about this duo, with there being calls for the veteran Brazilian to be dropped at some stage.
This may only come when Badiashile returns to action, with it originally being expected that would have come by now.
Vincent has claimed that although there is no clarification over when he will come back, he is extremely excited to return.
He said: “A source close to Benoît Badiashile has said that the defender is in really high spirits about his situation and is immensely excited for his return.
“However, we still do not know when that will be, but the French defender is working tirelessly back at Cobham to get himself in the best possible condition and come back even stronger.”
With Wesley Fofana being injured for the majority of the campaign, a return for his fellow Frenchman will be welcome in order to allow for rotation when games eventually stack up.
