Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson has been making a real impression on Premier League supporters this season in front of goal.

The Senegal international sits on six goals already this season, adding to his tally over the weekend in the narrow win over Newcastle United.

David Seaman believes Enzo Maresca is getting the most out of Jackson, with his performances seeming to reach another level so far in this campaign.

Something that has been a real positive for Chelsea is the partnership that the striker has struck up with the Blues’ best player right now.

Cole Palmer always first to celebrate with Nicolas Jackson

The duo of Jackson and Cole Palmer have assisted each other 11 times in the Premier League, with no one in the top flight having more goal contributions than the England international.

It is undoubtable that how the inclusion of Jackson in the side and the way he plays is a real compliment to Palmer, and it seems this has been noticed.

According to Football London, Palmer is frequently one of the first players to go over to Jackson during goal celebrations.

While Palmer has undoubtedly been the best signing of the last few years at a cost of just £45m, it is clear that Jackson is not far behind.

Nicolas Jackson vs Christopher Nkunku

He is currently holding off the challenge of Christopher Nkunku for a place in the side at the moment.

The Frenchman could arguably do no more in his limited minutes this season, scoring every time he takes to the field in the cup matches.

It is likely Nkunku returns to the starting side when the Blues are in action against Newcastle again in the Carabao Cup tomorrow night.

All he can do is continue to put the pressure on and be ready to make his mark if the opportunity arises to displace Jackson from the Premier League side at any stage.
