£52m Chelsea star is becoming worried about his lack of minutes under Enzo Maresca this season

The new Chelsea manager has had a tough task of managing a side that is full of top-quality players who are looking to play regular minutes.

Enzo Maresca has impressed since he made the move to Stamford Bridge, however the thing that has caught most people by surprise is his ability to utilise a big squad.

There have often been as many as 11 changes made in order to give everyone their chance to impress in cup competitions this season.

This has seen a number of players make their case to the manager that they should be in for minutes. Pedro Neto has earned a starting place as a result.

Christopher Nkunku concerned about his minutes at Chelsea

One of the top performers in Europe and domestic cups this season has been Christopher Nkunku, who seems to find the net every time he plays.

After a horror start to life in West London with injuries after his £52m move, he has avoided any reoccurrence of that this season so far in this campaign.

However, murmurings of discontent have now emerged. TBR have reported that the Frenchman is beginning to come concerned with the lack of minutes he is receiving in the Premier League.

There is no doubt that Nkunku joined the club with the aim of being the key man in attack, however the introduction of a number of other players has made that hard to come by.

Nicolas Jackson keeping Nkunku out of the Chelsea team

Nicolas Jackson has developed into one of the most impressive strikers in the Premier League at the moment, and is making it very difficult to be taken out of the side.

There may be a forced change coming soon with the Senegal international currently sitting on four yellow cards for the campaign.

One away from a suspension, it is fair to say Jackson has not learnt his lesson from last season when it comes to picking up unnecessary bookings.

Nkunku’s next chance to prove his point may come on Thursday night as the Blues welcome Noah to Stamford Bridge in the Conference League.
