Reports have claimed that former Wolves manager Julian Lopetegui was spotted at Stamford Bridge during Sunday’s game.

According to BirminghamWorld, the Spaniard is keen to make a return to management in England after leaving his post before this season actually got underway.

It has not taken long for the manager position at Chelsea to be the topic of debate again, with there being just six games played this season.

However, the Blues have just one win from these fixtures, making it difficult not to at least leave some of the blame at Mauricio Pochettino’s door.

While talk of getting the sack is far too premature, and highly rejected by the club too, any sighting of a Premier League calibre manager is likely to turn heads.

Lopetegui spotted at Chelsea

This occurred on Sunday, when Lopetegui was seen in an executive suite at Stamford Bridge to watch the game against Aston Villa.

If he was there from a Chelsea perspective, he will not have been too impressed by what he saw, as the Blues fell to yet another defeat.

An Ollie Watkins goal in the second half separated the sides, and painted a similar picture to what Chelsea fans have become all too familiar with up to now.

There will be very few of the West London faithful that have a want to replace Pochettino already, with there certainly being signs that some of the stuff being worked on in training is having an effect.

However, they will be keen to see an upturn of results, and this is likely to prove difficult based on the fixtures that are approaching over the coming months
