Chelsea head coach Mauricio Pochettino was furious with Mykhailo Mudryk during yesterday’s game.
That is according to ESPN pundit Nedum Onuoha.
It was a fantastic Tuesday night at Stamford Bridge for Chelsea, whose 6-1 win over Middlesbrough booked their spot in next month’s Carabao Cup final.
The Blues overturned a one-goal deficit to Boro from the first leg in style by blowing the Championship side out of the water last night.
As a result, Mauricio Pochettino’s side will play league rivals Fulham or Liverpool in next month’s domestic cup final at Wembley Stadium.

Despite the positivity from yesterday’s result, one Chelsea player did still receive criticism.
Apparently, Blues head coach Pochettino was visibly angry on the touchline with the first-half performance from Mykhailo Mudryk. Chelsea teammate Enzo Fernandez wasn’t happy next to him on the pitch, too.
“I’ve got to say Mudryk today, he was getting a lot of grief from his manager. A lot of grief from Enzo Fernandez on the field. He kept barking instructions at him,” Onuoha told ESPN.
“There we so many little transitions where he’d get the ball and turn it over with a little stupid decision. You could see the manager was losing more and more faith in him.”
Mykhailo Mudryk disappoints against Middlesbrough
Chelsea raced into a 4-0 lead by half-time versus Boro, but Mudryk failed to impress in a match they were dominating in every aspect. Eventually, he was substituted off at the interval.
Speaking via Fooball.London post-match, Pochettino explained that Mudryk was only taken off at half-time because he was on a yellow card. Our guess is his minimal impact had something to do with the substitution, too.
In our view, the Ukraine international wasted a golden opportunity after being recalled to the XI in midweek.
He only attempted one shot and one dribble during his 45 minutes on the pitch (WhoScored).
The likes of Raheem Sterling, Cole Palmer and substitute Noni Madueke all made positive attackingn contributions against Boro. We think all three will now be higher up Pochettino’s pecking order for the forward roles ahead of Friday night’s FA Cup fourth round tie at home to Aston Villa.
