The 2022/23 season is one many Chelsea fans see as best left forgotten due to how it transpired.
With it being the first campaign under the new ownership of Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali, the enormous change off the pitch did not help things on it.
The Blues finished in the bottom half of the table, with four different head coaches taking charge of at least one game.
Their first transfer window in charge is one of the ownership team look back on with regret, with many signed not still at the club just two years later.
One of those is Denis Zakaria, who was only brought in on loan before seeing his £25m buy option not taken by Chelsea.

Denis Zakaria starring after leaving Chelsea
The Switzerland international started just seven times in all competitions for the Blues, however some supporters will now be stunned by how good he has become.
Now lining up as the captain of Monaco, Zakaria constantly puts in very strong performances at the heart of their midfield.
He seems to be contributing more in attack too. He has two goals and an assist to his name in just four league games this season.
Thomas Tuchel sacked days after Zakaria joined Chelsea
It was unclear who the deadline day addition of Zakaria was for, although if it was solely for Thomas Tuchel then it now seems a bit of a waste of time.
The German was sacked just a few days later, leaving the futures of the likes of him and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang up in the air.
The midfield at Chelsea has seen plenty of money pumped into it over the last two years. The Blues smashed their record fees in consecutive windows to bring in Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo.
They also spent big money on Romeo Lavia, who they are praying has a kinder season when it comes to injuries this time around.
