Alan Shearer has named Chelsea duo; Thiago Silva and Hakim Ziyech in his Premier League team of the week.
Ziyech, whom Pat Nevin said had the best game of his Chelsea career in the 2-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday, unsurprisingly makes the list.
The Morocco international looked very comfortable playing a wider role in a 4-1-4-1 formation, creating two chances and registering four shots on target, including his outstanding goal.
Shearer was clearly impressed.

“Chelsea needed a moment of quality and his stunning finish couldn’t have been any better,” the former Newcastle United striker told the Premier League’s official website
“He’s scored in back-to-back matches now.”
While Ziyech’s display surprised a lot of people, Silva has been one of the most consistent performers for Chelsea this season.
He recently signed a one-year contract extension with Chelsea, which indicates how highly the people at the club rate him.

“Still a class act,” Shearer said about the Brazil international.
“Helping his side to a clean sheet at one end while scoring at the other as Chelsea beat Tottenham Hotspur.”
A few other Chelsea players also had a very good game, such as Mason Mount, who created five chances in the game, including an assist, as well as Malang Sarr, whose presence as a left-back makes a four-man defence a very attractive option for Thomas Tuchel going forward.
