Chelsea maintained their perfect record away from home in the Premier League this season with a narrow win over Bournemouth at the weekend.

Christopher Nkunku came off the bench to score the only goal of the game, with Enzo Maresca showing yet again he has a plethora of game-changing talent available to him on the bench.

Many supporters will have been more impressed that a clean sheet came Chelsea’s way, their first one domestically of the new season.

They were forced to work hard at the back for it, with Levi Colwill deserving a mention for a resolute defensive display.

Behind him though Robert Sanchez impressed greatly. It was arguably his best game in a Chelsea shirt.

Robert Sanchez makes Alan Shearer’s Team of the Week

The Spaniard saved a first half penalty, stepping up when his side needed him to stay in the game while under pressure.

Alan Shearer was one figure who was extremely impressed with what he saw from Sanchez, naming him in his Team of the Week for the official Premier League site.

The former striker had already described his performance as ‘superb’, and he did well to make the best XI after Andre Onana had made a penalty save himself earlier in the day for Manchester United.

Filip Jorgensen pushing for minutes at Chelsea

There has been a lot of discussion over who the starting goalkeeper would be at Stamford Bridge this season following the summer signing of Filip Jorgensen.

Maresca put an end to it all by confirming Sanchez was his first choice option, with the former Villarreal man forced to settle for minutes in Europe as well as the domestic cups for now.

While there has not been universal confidence in Sanchez since his signing just over a year ago, he has made a strong start to the campaign and given the manager no reason to look elsewhere when it comes to who is starting between the sticks.
