Chelsea picked up their first away win of 2025 in sensational style as they produced a late fight back to beat local rivals Fulham.

The Blues were headed towards yet another defeat on their travels before two late goals kept them in the hunt for Champions League football.

Chelsea fans were threatening to lose patience with the situation they found themselves in. Some in attendance at Craven Cottage chanted for Frank Lampard in protest of their current head coach.

Enzo Maresca remained collected at the full-time whistle, with him acknowledging that there is still plenty to be done before they can really celebrate.

He will be able to take credit for a completely different performance in the second half, with the changes he made to the side having a real impact.

Alan Shearer says Tyrique George ‘changed the game’ for Chelsea vs Fulham

One of those he introduced from the bench was Tyrique George, who followed up his first senior goal for the club with his first in the Premier League.

The youngster impressed greatly off the bench, with Alan Shearer being full of praise for his performance.

The former Premier League striker told Match of the Day 2 that he believes the introduction of George was the reason the game changed in their favour.

He said: “He brings young Tyrique George on. 19 years old, and all of a sudden, that change changes the game.

“Because this finish is so instinctive, and it wasn’t going to happen with those two (Jackson and Palmer). All of a sudden, Tyrique George changed the game.”

Chelsea fans convinced by George

Despite making an impact whenever he has been on the pitch for Chelsea, there is yet to be a Premier League start for the club for George.

The impact he is making is beginning to become difficult to ignore though, and supporters are becoming insistent that they see more of the teenager in the coming weeks.

Despite the remaining games being absolutely crucial in the race for Champions League football, Chelsea fans have called for George to become a starter ahead of some of the attackers who have been underperforming up to now.

One of those could well have been Pedro Neto, however his last-minute winner could be a key moment in his own Chelsea career.
