Chelsea are currently stocked with a lot of talented players for Enzo Maresca to choose from for every single game.

Particularly in the attacking areas, the Blues have plenty of options to pick from, with some clearly not playing as much as they’d like.

Christopher Nkunku has reportedly grown unhappy with his minutes at Stamford Bridge. He has just one Premier League start to his name for this season.

The wide options are strong right now in West London. Pedro Neto impressed greatly against Arsenal as he continues his rise to a regular starting player in the league.

If the club had got some of their previous transfer targets over the line, it could well all look very different right now, with Anthony Gordon one of the players who has previously been linked with a move.

Anthony Gordon was desperate to join Chelsea

The current Newcastle United man was strongly linked with the switch when Thomas Tuchel was in charge of the club, with the duo now set to link up in the new year when the German becames the England manager.

Gordon admitted he was absolutely desperate to make the move to Stamford Bridge when the transfer was being discussed, with the prospect of playing under Tuchel very attractive to him.

He said to The Mirror: “It was quite close to be honest. I was desperate to go at the time and work with him (Tuchel) especially.

“I felt like my style would suit his style of play – the way he was playing at Chelsea was very exciting for me. It was a big opportunity for me that didn’t end up happening and I’m looking forward to getting to work with him a couple of years later.”

Gordon’s game has come on leaps and bounds since 2022, with him being described as ‘amazing’ this year by Bruno Guimaraes.

Pedro Neto could become an option on the right-wing for Chelsea

Chelsea’s current options on the left-wing hold a lot of interest, with Micah Richards believeing that Neto would actually be on the right-hand-side.

Mykhailo Mudryk will have felt he deserved a start against Arsenal at the weekend after a string of impressive performances in the cup competitions.

The Ukraine international will likely be battling with Jadon Sancho after the international break for a place in the side, with the Englishman battling both illness and injury in recent weeks.
