Despite being the World Cup champions and one of the better sides in the game right now, Argentina were defeated 2-1 by Colombia last night.
It was the second game in a row this week that they started Enzo Fernandez, with the Chelsea man playing plenty of football in the early stages of the campaign.
The midfielder is already looking pretty important to Enzo Maresca this season, and the same can be said for his national side too.

It is fair to say though that Fernandez had a rough outing for his country last week, which will have left him desperate to respond with a performance last night.
However, TyC Sports were not too impressed again with his showing, only awarding him a 5/10.
Enzo Fernandez struggles for Argentina
They said: “Enzo Fernández: 5. The main problem was that he could never have the court in front. Attentive to the rise of Colombia’s steering wheels and the little link with the first pass, he failed to link with the Argentine attackers or open the game on the sides, something that improved when Alexis Mac Allister entered.”
While Fernandez is close to guaranteed a place in the Chelsea side at the moment, that is likely not to continue when everyone is fit.
Lavia pushing Fernandez when fit
He is under pressure for his role by Romeo Lavia following his impressive debut start for the club against Manchester City.
However, this start to the season was stopped in its tracks by an injury to which he has not returned from yet, even with the current international break.
Even for the future, the current midfielders at the club may have one eye on what some of the loanees are up to.
No central midfielder has registered a higher match rating on average this season than Andrey Santos. Many believed this campaign would already be the one he broke through at Chelsea.
Fernandez will hope to be match fit by Saturday when the Blues are back in action against Bournemouth.
