Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has shared that both Kai Havertz and Jorginho have been saying very positive things about Chelsea as a club.

There’s a fascinating London derby taking place this weekend at Stamford Bridge, with Chelsea hosting Arsenal in the Premier League.

For Arsenal, they’re unbeaten in the league this season and sit second behind Tottenham on goal difference. The early signs are that Arsenal are well equipped to attempt another title challenge.

Meanwhile, Chelsea welcomed Mauricio Pochettino as their new head coach in the summer, so there’s been a lot to learn in his first few months in the job. Despite sitting 11th in the league standings right now, the Blues have been performing a bit better than their position suggests. The Premier League’s official website has shared that Chelsea sit fourth in the table based solely off xG (expected goals).

Chelsea reunion on Saturday

Arsenal midfielders Kai Havertz and Jorginho both played for Chelsea before moving to the Emirates Stadium, the former only making the transfer in the summer.

When asked whether Havertz was excited about his return to Stamford Bridge, Arteta said via Arsenal’s official website: “Jorginho as well, I’m sure they will be. They were there and speak really highly about the club and everybody there, so it will be a special day for them.”

Beware Kai Havertz

Chelsea fans know better than anyone that Havertz is someone whose form blows hot and cold. It would be typical that he shows up when returning to Stamford Bridge on the weekend, too.

The 24-year-old German star has one goal and one assist in his previous two league matches, so we’re curious to see whether Arteta puts him into the starting line-up.

For all the criticism he did receive at Chelsea, he still cemented his spot in history by scoring the winning goal in a Champions League final. Therefore, our guess is he will get a warm reception from the home crowd on Saturday.
