Mauricio Pochettino has now given an update on what he knows regarding Chelsea selling one of his first team players this month.
He claimed in his pre-match press conference that he is yet to given an update on Armando Broja despite reports stating that he could be on the move this month.
Last week saw claims that the Blues could be open to selling Broja this month, despite being short of numbers when it comes to striker.
With Nicolas Jackson currently at the African Cup of Nations too, a sale this month could see a period of time where they don’t actually have a recognised striker for a prolonged period of time.
It is perhaps clear why some at the club are looking for the sale of the player, with him only scoring twice in all competitions this seasons.
It has been claimed that the Blues are in the market for both a long-term and short-term option for the club in this transfer window.

However, it was also claimed that his sale did not rely on the club bringing in another number nine this month.
Pochettino has now claimed that up to now, he has no update either way on the situation of the academy graduate.
“At the moment, no news. We cannot update in any way. It’s all so quiet and I think that’s a good thing because we are working well.”
It would be advisable for the club to not look to sell him this month if they are not able to sign a replacement.
With the injury record at Stamford Bridge so far this season, reducing the amount of first team players in the squad could be a mistake that comes back to bite them in the coming months.
