Journalist Albert Roge has claimed that Barcelona have just completed the signing of former Chelsea player Tdor Mendel-Idowu.
He took to Twitter to state that the 18-year-old has signed on a free transfer on a three-year contract, which will include a pre-season campaign with the development squad.
It was reported a few weeks ago that Mendel-Idowu had chosen not to sign a new contract with th3 club, despite enjoying plenty of appearances with the youth side.

Outside of the game, the youngster is known for being ‘intelligent’, with him being known as somewhat of a child genius.
Now, it has been claimed by Roge that the La Liga side have completed the shroud piece of business off the back of a recommendation from former Blue and current director, Deco.
He said: “Barça signs Tudor Mendel-Idowu, an 18-year-old winger trained at Chelsea. He arrives free and will sign until 2026.

“Left-footed, Deco’s bet and with a presence in the lower ranks of England, Tudor will do the preseason with Barça Atlètic.”
Young players have been key to Todd Boehly’s time as owner of Chelsea, with them taking up more than half of the signings made by the club since he took over.
This summer has seen more of the same in terms of young stars coming through the door with the aim of making an impression in the future.

Recent days saw them announce a deal to sign Angelo Gabriel, although there is some hope that he could be part of the first team straight away under Mauricio Pochettino.
Supporters meanwhile will be hoping to see some more big names come through the door before the end of the summer transfer window, with business beginning to stall.
This has mostly been down to the Moises Caicedo saga, with them struggling to get a deal over the line to bring the Ecuador international in.
