Ben Foster has shared that he’s been really impressed by Enzo Fernandez’s start at Chelsea.
There is a lot of attention and pressure on Fernandez, who joined Chelsea in January from Benfica for a British-record sum of £106.8million.
However, the 22-year-old midfielder has gotten straight to work and started every game since joining.
The Argentina international already looks like one of the first names in Graham Potter’s line-up.
He is definitely still adjusting to a new country and new teammates, but there have been glimpses of why the Blues went all out to sign him in the New Year.

Foster has delivered a glowing verdict on Fernandez’s Chelsea career so far:
“Enzo Fernandez, I like the way he’s settled in already. He looks like he means business. He looks like he wants to do it properly, run around, and work hard,” Foster said.
You can immediately tell that the World Cup winner has the bite and aggression that supporters love.
In addition, he’s shown in his first six club appearances that he’s a central midfielder who wants to get the ball forward and create.
When you pay £100 million or more for someone, you should expect the full package.

Fernandez has had a number of different midfield partners already, which isn’t ideal for when you’re settling into a team.
However, ESPN recently claimed that Potter is thinking about partnering him alongside N’Golo Kante when the Frenchman returns from injury.
We think there is so much more to come from Fernandez in the weeks and months ahead.
