Ben Foster says how much it would cost clubs to sign Cole Palmer from Chelsea

Chelsea’s Cole Palmer continues to make a mockery of his transfer cost every week with a constant string of outrageously good performances.

The Chelsea squad is made up of so many talented young players this season, but one individual is still head and shoulders above the rest of his teammates.

Cole Palmer, 22, is in a league of his own right now with his displays. It’s now six goals and four assists in the opening six Premier League matches so far this campaign. Interestingly, Jamie Carragher said Palmer is currently better than Phil Foden recently via Sky Sports.

The Blues paid £40m (Sky Sports) last summer to sign Palmer from Manchester City, which with hindsight is looking like a robbery.

Ben Foster on Cole Palmer worth

Ben Foster has claimed that he couldn’t imagine Chelsea selling Palmer, especially as their talisman is under contract at Stamford Bridge until 2033. He thinks it would take £150m and above for any club to prize him away from west London.

When discussing Palmer on his own YouTube channel, Foster said: “Chelsea would not sell him. He’s on a nine-year contract. They would not sell him for anything less than £150m. That’s what it would take to get him out of there. I don’t think he could go to another Premier League team—it would only be Barcelona or Real Madrid, probably.”

Cole Palmer being managed wisely

Palmer is averaging a goal or assist nearly every game in Chelsea colours.

The 22-year-old attacker, who’s thriving in a No.10 position, is someone that seems to make an impact whenever he’s on a football pitch. But it’s so important that the Blues keep him fresh and firing during such a busy schedule.

We love the club’s decision to omit Palmer from the Conference League squad for the group stages. On top of that, the squad’s depth is incredibly high and there’s no concern about starting Joao Felix over him in cup competitions.

Of course, Chelsea are going to need Palmer if they go deep into any cups and he can’t always be kept on ice. However, let’s remember that the youngster has played a lot of football since his transfer and taking extra care of him is sensible.
