Journalist Nathan Gissing has claimed that Chelsea are currently looking to stop Callum Hudson-Odoi joining another Premier League club.

He took to Twitter to state that the Blues are far more keen to sell the winger to a club outside of England.

It looks for all the world as if Hudson-Odoi will be on his way out of Stamford Bridge this summer.

The England international has been left out of the squad that are currently travelling the United States to take part in the pre-season tour.

He has been left at home alongside some of the other outcasts still in the first team squad, notably including Romelu Lukaku.

It had been widely claimed recently that Hudson-Odoi was set for a move somewhere in England. A number of Premier League clubs have been linked with a move.

These have included Fulham, which would see the player moving just down the road in West London.

However, Gissing has now claimed that the Blues are currently of the opinion that they want to sell him to a side outside the Premier League.

He said: “Understand Chelsea are currently blocking Premier League offers for Callum Hudson-Odoi, who prefer to sell abroad. Fulham and Nottingham Forest are interested.

“Lazio are keen, although nothing set in stone, as of now.”

A move to Lazio would see Hudson-Odoi reunite with former manager Maurizio Sarri, who he enjoyed arguably his best season to date under a few years ago.

His breakthrough campaign under the Italian saw him particularly star in Europe, with Chelsea going on to win the Europa League that season.

While he has shown glimpses of the ‘incredible’ quality that has been promised for so long, it looks as if the relationship between the two parties is going to come to an end.
