Chelsea put themselves even closer to the top end of the table this season with a return to winning ways in the Premier League at the weekend.
The Blues beat Leicester City 2-1 at the King Power Stadium, with Enzo Maresca victorious over his former club.
It was his counterpart’s last game in the job, with Steve Cooper now sacked as the manager of Leicester after the defeat to Chelsea.
Maresca’s team selection surprised one or two before the game, with a couple of players who have been regular starters recently finding themselves on the bench.
One of those was Romeo Lavia, who dropped out for Enzo Fernandez, who turned out to have a match-winning impact for the visitors on Saturday.

Enzo Fernandez covers most distance of any player under Enzo Maresca
Joe Cole described Fernandez’s performance as ‘brilliant’, with the World Cup winner both scoring and assistsing Nicolas Jackson as all three point returned to West London.
Maresca tweaked the tactics to get the best out of Fernandez, and the midfielder repaid the faith put in him by the boss with an incredible performance.
According to MailPlus, the Argentine completed the most distance of any player on the pitch on Saturday at 11.6km. It was also the most any Chelsea player has racked up under Maresca.
It is perhaps surprising that it was Fernandez picking up this acclaim, with him returning late to first team training after playing two 90 minutes for Argentina during the international break.
Fernandez or Romeo Lavia to partner Moises Caicedo?
Moises Caicedo is one of the first names on the teamsheet as far as Chelsea are concerned at the moment, however who plays alongside him has always been more difficult to determine.
It is a fact that Chelsea score goals at a higher rate when he is on the pitch, although probably look more defensively secure when Lavia is named in the starting side.
It remains to be seen if the manager decides to stick with the two £100m+ players next weekend, when there is a real chance to move up to the dizzying heights of second in the Premier League.
