Chelsea’s Noni Madueke reached a landmark moment in his career this week by making his senior England debut.
Noni Madueke replaced Bukayo Saka midway through the second half of Tuesday night’s Nations League fixture between England and Finland at Wembley Stadium, which the hosts ended up winning 2-0.
The Chelsea winger certainly made an impact on his debut, providing the assist for Harry Kane’s second goal of the match.
It’s been an up and down start this season for new Blues head coach Enzo Maresca, but Madueke is one of the biggest winners so far since his arrival. The 22-year-old attacker will now return to his club after a successful international break.
Chelsea fans think Madueke has already improved under Maresca, so it’s going to be exciting to see what he does moving forward this season.

Noni Madueke celebrates England debut, Bukayo Saka reacts
Madueke reacted to his senior international debut with an Instagram post last night to celebrate, which received some interesting responses in the comment section.
Several Chelsea teammates responded to congratulate Madueke, plus Arsenal’s Saka posted a wordless message with a clapping hands emoji.

Chelsea star can’t rest on his laurels
While Madueke should be hugely proud of his start to the season, now is the time for him to put his foot down and make the most of this purple patch of form.
He’s started the new campaign superbly, scoring four goals in four games for Chelsea. Plus, he’s now made a first breakthrough for England at senior level.
We can definitely see a world where he becomes the natural understudy and competition for Saka on England’s right wing, but he’s simply got to keep up his club form to stay in the picture.
