It feels a certainty that Chelsea will be addressing the striker position when the season ends and the transfer window opens again.
Nicolas Jackson has had a decent campaign again at Stamford Bridge, however is the only real option for the Blues, who suffered greatly in his recent injury absence.
Chelsea have been linked with a number of top names in the striker position, however one player who continues to crop up as a target is Liam Delap.
Delap is keen on moving to Stamford Bridge, and fancies his chances at being able to break into the starting side if he was brought in.
Chelsea fans are convinced by Delap, however he is not the only young striker who is making a serious impression on the game this season.

Chelsea add Hugo Ekitike to transfer shortlist
Hugo Ekitike has enjoyed a very strong campaign with Eintracht Frankfurt this season, establishing himself as one of the most promising strikers in world football.
He recently outshone Delap as France U21 beat England, scoring a hat-trick after Delap found the net once in a game which finished 5-3.
According to Simon Phillips, Chelsea have added Ekitike to their list this season, and are one of a number of clubs who are admirers of him.
He said on his Substack: “We have had one new name that sources say we are scouting this season and that is Hugo Ekitike of Frankfurt. The France U21 international stands at 6ft 3in tall and has a growing list of clubs admiring him this season, and Chelsea are one of those.
“However, we’ve heard there are some concerns over whether he is suited to the Premier League.”

Ekitike’s impressive 24/25 stats
The 22-year-old has enjoyed somewhat of a breakout campaign in front of goal this season, with him being the regular striker for the Bundesliga club.
| Hugo Ekitike stats 24/25 | Total |
| Games | 40 |
| Goals | 19 |
| Assists | 8 |
If there are doubts over his ability to suit the Premier League though, Chelsea should steer their attention elsewhere due to the importance of getting the striker signing right.
There are a number of big options out there, with links to Victor Osimhen refusing to go away for when his loan at Galatasaray comes to an end this summer.
