It has been made pretty clear that Chelsea are going to be interested in signing a striker when this season comes to an end.
The Blues have been heavily relying on Nicolas Jackson for the goals all season, and a nightmare 2025 when it comes to form and fitness for him has seen the whole side suffer.
One of the names who is high on their list of targets is Ipswich Town striker Liam Delap, who has enjoyed a strong first season as a regular in the Premier League.
With his side looking like they could be relegated, it is no surprise plenty of sides are looking at the striker, with Delap keen on a move to Chelsea if the opportunity arises.

Chelsea should be targeting signing of Hugo Ekitike
The most recent opportunity scouts from the Blues had to watch him in action was during England U21s defeat to France, a game that was littered with talent throughout both sides.
While Delap was on the scoresheet, Chelsea’s head could well have been turned by the performance of Hugo Ekitike, who scored a hat-trick for France in victory.
Former Chelsea transfer target Rayan Cherki was also incredible on the day, although it was the striker who took all the headlines.
Those three goals added to 19 in all competitions for Eintracht Frankfurt make for a very decent campaign so far for the 22-year-old.
Chelsea have been linked with Ekitike before, and are clearly fans of the young striker who would fit their project very nicely.

Liam Delap and Hugo Ekitike compared
Ekitike sits on far more goals this season than Delap, however the Englishman will note that he has been providing his contributions in the Premier League where Chelsea play.
| Delap vs Ekitike stats | Games | Goals | Assists |
| Liam Delap | 31 | 10 | 2 |
| Hugo Ekitike | 38 | 19 | 8 |
Chelsea want to wrap up the signing of a striker before they jet off to compete in the Club World Cup, and were keen on signing Delap early to beat other interested sides to the deal.
However, their interest should instead be on the Frenchman until the end of the season, as he looks to fire his side to Champions League qualification for next season.
