Mauricio Pochettino is still working in his position as the Chelsea head coach, but that doesn’t prevent rumours about his possible exit and potential replacements.
The Blues now sit 12th in the Premier League table, which we think most fans would agree simply isn’t good enough with this squad of players.
Mauricio Pochettino, who signed a two-year deal as Chelsea head coach last summer, is desperately trying to turn the tide. Next, his side host Manchester United on Thursday night in the league.
The Guardian claimed last month that the club plan to see through the rest of the season with Pochettino in the dugout before reviewing his position in the summer.

Chelsea links with Thomas Tuchel
There’s been some rumours in the media linking Thomas Tuchel with an incredible return to Stamford Bridge.
Tuchel, 50, is currently working as the Bayern Munich manager, albeit it’s already been confirmed he’ll leave his post at the end of the season,
He’s a Champions League-winning boss from his time at Chelsea between 2021-22, which is why he’s still adored by so many supporters in west London.
SportBILD claimed last month that Tuchel would be interested in returning to the Chelsea dugout if the club decides to replace Pochettino.
His record from his first spell with the Blues was 63 wins, 19 draws and 18 defeats from 100 matches in charge before his harsh sacking.
Thomas Tuchel update
Journalist Ben Jacobs has now offered an update on the Chelsea-Tuchel speculation.
He claims that the Blues are not considering rehiring the 50-year-old German boss. Incidentally, they’re not thinking about bringing Jose Mourinho back either.
“Some fans are dreaming of a Jose Mourinho or Thomas Tuchel return, although it’s not thought either are being considered despite the obvious short-term PR win,” Jacobs told CaughtOffside.
“No candidate is actually being seriously pursued to date… Chelsea are merely succession planning, much like Manchester United. This is normal when a change might be necessary and is something the club likely started on day one of Pochettino arriving given his contract is short.
“Succession planning should not be confused with formally interviewing others or starting to replace Pochettino. You can both look at options to avoid managerial limbo and still want to make it work with your manager, and that’s kind of where Chelsea are at.”
