The discipline record at Chelsea this season has been about as bad as it can be both on and off the pitch.

Mauricio Pochettino has even seen himself banned from the touchline on occasion after picking up to many yellow cards for expressing his feelings.

Nicolas Jackson has been a particularly guilty party on the pitch this season. He has already recorded eight yellow cards in his first Premier League campaign.

It has been a noted problem that the Blues need to get a lot better with, given the fact that there is the opportunity to miss some crucial games due to suspension.

When it comes to transfers though, it would perhaps be recommended that they did not look to add any players to their ranks who are only going to make things worse as far as discipline goes.

Recent reports have linked the Blues to the signing of Jhon Duran from Aston Villa this month, with Fabrizio Romano claiming that meetings are set to take place at Stamford Bridge to discuss the potential addition.

Duran averages a yellow card every 43 minutes

While he does have a couple of Premier League goals under his belt already, what he also has under his belt is a decent amount of yellow cards.

With four bookings already this season, he is averaging receiving a yellow card every 43 minutes this season.

Chelsea fans are already divided over the potential addition of the 20-year-old, given the fact that they have already spent big money on some young strikers already.

David Datro Fofana and Deivid Washington are two who immediately spring to mind, with the former being given an opportunity to make an impression on the Premier League for the rest of the season with struggling Burnley.

It remains to be seen if the higher ups at Stamford Bridge decide to do a deal that will see Duran make the step up to the Blues.
