Reports have claimed that Chelsea are now interested in signing Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford.

According to 90min, the Blues are considering the England international as one of a number of options to bring in to play in goal.

Pickford enjoyed a very successful outing yesterday as his Everton side picked up a rare win away from home at West Ham.

While the crowd did their best to get on his back, he made a number of great saves to keep the hosts at bay.

Chelsea’s goalkeeper at the weekend however did not have quite as much fun.

Robert Sanchez spent his final minute of the West London derby doing his best Usain Bolt impression, as he was forced to sprint the length of the pitch after going up for a corner late on.

Pickford linked to Chelsea

His efforts were in vein, as the Blues conceded their second late in the day to cap off a miserable afternoon.

There have been whispers of discontent at Stamford Bridge regarding their number one, particularly after his recent error against Arsenal that allowed them back in the game.

This perhaps explains why reports are linking them to multiple goalkeepers for the upcoming transfer windows.

They have previously been linked with a deal to bring in the Gunners’ former number one Aaron Ramsdale, who has been displaced by David Raya this season.

However, now it is another England international who the Blues have been reported to be interested in, with Pickford on their agenda.

One person who has given a glowing review of him in the past is Frank Lampard, who was full of praise for him when he was in charge of Everton before.

Whether he would be able to make the step up to perform for a club the magnitude of Chelsea between the sticks is a completely different question.
