Reports have claimed that Chelsea are now seriously considering upping their efforts to sign Napoli striker Victor Osimhen.
According to TalkSPORT, the Blues are keeping an eye on the ongoing situation that surrounds the forward potentially suing his own club.
Osimhen was in the news yesterday after it emerged from his agent that he was willing to take legal action against his employers following their antics on social media.
They appeared to mock their own player, despite him being their top star over the last 18 months or so.
On the pitch, the Nigeria international has picked up exactly where he left off in their quest to defend the Serie A title.
He has three goals in five games, off the back of a 26-goal league campaign in Italy on their way to winning it all.
His good form for the Italian side has seen him pick up plenty of praise, with him being described as ‘phenomenal’ by Walter Mazzarri.
At Stamford Bridge meanwhile, goals are extremely difficult to come by. They’ve not found the net this month, and currently have five goals in six games in the league.
Nicolas Jackson has started up top for every game in the Premier League this season. However, he has just one goal to his name so far, and has struggled in recent weeks.
They do at least have the return of Armando Broja to look forward to. He made his first appearance in about nine months off the bench at the weekend.
However, Mauricio Pochettino has claimed that he is not yet ready to start, and with a ban picked up by Jackson means he has a decision to make on his number nine in the coming days.
