Reports have claimed that Chelsea is now the most likely destination for goalkeeper Robert Sanchez to land at.

According to The Athletic, the Spaniard will either find himself at Stamford Bridge or back to his home league if he is to get a move this summer.

Recent reports have claimed that Sanchez is out of favour at the Amex, with him being dropped from the first team in the final few games of last season.

Things then got a whole lot more ominous for the goalkeeper when he was left off the travelling party to the United States with Brighton.

The Seagulls are set to face the Blues during their respective tours, with it being likely now that Levi Colwill’s first game for the club this summer is against the side who want to sign him so badly.

Chelsea meanwhile are considering signing a new goalkeeper after Edouard Mendy was sold to Saudi Arabia earlier this summer.

Chelsea likely destination for Sanchez

This is despite many claims that Mauricio Pochettino is keen to go into next season with Kepa Arrizabalaga as his number one, despite hesitation from supporters.

However, the easiness that surrounds a deal for Sanchez does suggest that it could be in the offing if they do decide to add some depth between the sticks.

Supporters will be unsure on the prospects of going into next season with Kepa as the number one at the club. However, they will acknowledge that there are other positions which also need strengthening.

One of these in particular is central midfield, with it not being unnoticed that the current crop is probably short of what is required to be at the top.

Their main target is Moises Caicedo, however negotiating with Brighton has proved as difficult as ever up to now.
