While the summer transfer window has now closed for Chelsea, it seems as if they were not happy with the players who they had sent out on loan for the upcoming campaign.
The Blues have six international loan spots they are allowed to fill, with Nicolas Jackson taking up the last spot with his move to Bayern Munich.
Jackson’s loan stopped Axel Disasi moving on loan to France, with him one of the players who was unable to find a new club during the summer transfer window.
Three of those who are out on loan internationally are featuring for Strasbourg. Mike Penders, Kendry Paez and Mamadou Sarr are all looking to prove their worth to the Blues ahead of next season.

Chelsea ask for Deivid Washington to return from loan
Aaron Anselmino is also at Borussia Dortmund, however they were unable to send another new player on loan following the January departure of Deivid Washington.
Washington joined Santos at the turn of 2025, giving him the opportunity to play alongside Brazilian legend Neymar for a brief period of time.
That time has now come to an end though, with Diario Do Peixe reporting that Chelsea have asked for him to be recalled, despite the window in England now being closed.
The report goes on to say that he has endured a rough time of things while in Brazil, scoring just two goals and very rarely actually being selected to play.

Washington could be in line for Chelsea minutes
Chelsea were sent into panic mode late in the window after Liam Delap limped off with an injury in the 2-0 win against Fulham.
Marc Guiu returned from his loan spell at Sunderland to provide cover for Joao Pedro, however is ineligible to play in the EFL Cup after already featuring.
There may be an appetite for Enzo Maresca to look to Washington, especially if he still has a desire for Joao Pedro to feature behind the striker.
The youngster has made a number of cameo appearances for the first team in the past, however they all came when Mauricio Pochettino was in charge of the club.
