Enzo Maresca hasn’t been at Stamford Bridge for too long but he’s already breaking records after Chelsea’s win over West Ham United.

Chelsea put in arguably one of their best performances of the season against the Hammers on Saturday lunchtime.

Nicolas Jackson was ruthless with his two goals and he even chipped in with an assist for Cole Palmer‘s only goal and Chelsea’s third.

Enzo Maresca had to make an interesting decision in the second-half when he hooked Wesley Fofana off due to the fear of him being torn apart by Mohamed Kudus.

It worked though, as Axel Disasi came on and helped the Blues keep a clean sheet.

Interestingly, it was the manager who joined a prestigious club on Saturday after grabbing the win…

Enzo Maresca joins Pep Guardiola with prestigious Premier League record

Enzo Maresca has lost just once since taking over at Stamford Bridge, which came against his good friend Pep Guardiola.

The win over West Ham was Maresca’s third in the Premier League, and it ended up helping him break a record.

Interestingly, Enzo Maresca is now the first manager to win their first three away games in charge in the Prem since Pep Guardiola in 2016.

The sky is the limit for Enzo Maresca and Chelsea

Enzo Maresca has been fully backed financially by Todd Boehly since taking over as Chelsea boss.

Chelsea drafted in around 11 players in the summer in the hope that Maresca could build a side worthy of challenging for silverware and getting the club back to the top.

And, the early signs are bright after just five games, as the Blues sit fourth in the table.

The only thing that could derail Chelsea’s season is an injury to Cole Palmer or Nicolas Jackson, as the former’s creativity and the latter’s goals can’t really be replaced with what they have in the squad.

Reece James could add so much to Maresca’s side at right-back with all his qualities, but his injury record just keeps on getting worse and worse.
