Tosin Adarabioyo and Axel Disasi are two Chelsea players who have been discussed by Blues fans recently.
Disasi shocked Chelsea supporters when he captained the club’s Under-21 side in their 4-1 win against Reading on Saturday.
The Frenchman is a £38m defender but has been frozen out of the first team after failing to leave Stamford Bridge in the summer.
Disasi could have joined another Premier League team, but he remained at Chelsea instead and is now being compared to Adarabioyo.

Chelsea fans think Axel Disasi is better than Tosin Adarabioyo
Chelsea supporters have sympathy for Disasi after watching the centre-back play for the club’s Under-21 side and believe that he is superior to Adarabioyo.
One fan on the social media platform X went as far as to describe Adarabioyo having a first-team spot over Disasi as an injustice. “Disasi in the U21s and Tosin starting every game is one of the biggest injustices I’ve ever seen.”
Another supporter said: “Surely he is better than Tosin, right? Football can be cruel sometimes.”
One fan was left baffled, saying: “Disasi can’t get in our side but Tosin can?”
Another user on X kept it simple and said: “Better than Tosin btw.”
One Chelsea fan thinks Disasi is being disrespected too much. “The disrespect is a lil too much man. He is better than Tosin.”
One other supporter thinks there is only one clear winner between Disasi and Adarabioyo. “He’s 10 times better than Tosin btw.”
Chelsea could finally offload their French outcast in the January transfer window. Last month, it was reported that Galatasaray are interested in signing Disasi.

Axel Disasi and Tosin Adarabioyo around the same level
There is not too much separating Disasi and Adarabioyo, at least statistically. For example, last season, Adarabioyo averaged 0.8 tackles and 0.5 interceptions per game in the Premier League.
In the 2023/24 campaign, when Disasi was still a Chelsea regular, the 27-year-old recorded averages of 1.1 and 0.6 respectively.
Simply put, Adarabioyo is not levels above Disasi or vice versa. However, the former Fulham man cost Chelsea nothing and is a very tall central defender, so you can see his appeal.
| Player | League games | Minutes | Tackles per game | Interceptions per game | Clearances per game | Aerial duels won per game |
| Tosin Adarabioyo (2024/25) | 22 | 1,405 | 0.8 | 0.5 | 3.6 | 1.9 |
| Axel Disasi (2023/24) | 31 | 2,581 | 1.1 | 0.6 | 3.1 | 2.4 |
Whatever the case, unfortunately for Disasi, his Chelsea career is quite clearly over, unless he likes playing with the Under-21s. It would be a surprise if the France international is still in west London after January.
