In the summer transfer window, Chelsea were able to get rid of most of their unwanted players.
For example, Chelsea were able to sell the likes of Joao Felix and Christopher Nkunku, while Ben Chilwell also left the club on deadline day.
Chilwell had allegedly attracted interest from Coventry City, who are now managed by Chelsea legend Frank Lampard, but the defender has ended up at the Blues’ sister club Strasbourg.
There were no moves for Raheem Sterling and Axel Disasi, though, who remain at Stamford Bridge for the time being.

Axel Disasi had ‘Premier League options’ on deadline day
While Aston Villa were not interested in Disasi despite signing him on loan last season, other English clubs were keen on him.
According to journalist Matt Law, Disasi had “Premier League options” on deadline day but did not find any of them appealing.
At one stage, it looked like Disasi would be heading to Bournemouth, while Wolverhampton Wanderers also appeared to be another possible destination for him.
In the end, though, the defender joined neither and now risks not playing until January unless he signs for a Turkish or Saudi Arabian team.
The transfer windows in Turkey and Saudi Arabia are still open, and Disasi has already attracted interest from the latter. Last week, it was claimed that Saudi Pro League side Neom were preparing to make a bid for Disasi.

Axel Disasi was reluctant to join Chelsea’s London rivals
On deadline day, West Ham United discussed signing Disasi from Chelsea but had no success.
According to journalist Jacob Steinberg, the 27-year-old was reluctant to join Chelsea’s London rivals.
Premier League interest in Disasi is not a shock. The Frenchman is a big and physical defender who knows the division.
“I’m gladiatorial and that’s how I have built my life and my career,” Disasi said in a Chelsea matchday programme last year. “Those are my values. Gladiatorial. Soldier.”
It would be such a waste if he did not play any football until January. Ultimately, a loan move to Turkey is now his best option. There, the France international can get game time before re-evaluating things in the new year.
