Chelsea fans are all making the same request after Thiago Silva returns to Cobham

Former Chelsea defender Thiago Silva has already come back to Cobham after leaving the Blues this summer.

Unfortunately for Chelsea supporters, Thiago Silva was only making a brief visit, with it currently being the international break.

The 39-year-old was well-loved during his time at Stamford Bridge, helping the Blues to win the Champions League back in 2021.

Silva has made a fine start at Fluminense, so the Brazilian club will be glad that they re-signed him. However, it looks like Chelsea fans would like to see Silva return to west London one day.

Chelsea fans eager for Thiago Silva return

Turning 40 next year, it is unlikely that Silva will ever kick a ball for Chelsea again. The former Paris Saint-Germain captain is probably starting to think about retirement.

Chelsea supporters, though, would be more than pleased to see Silva return as a coach or an assistant. In fact, some have taken to X to call for that.

One Chelsea fan said: “Please hire this man one day as an assistant.”

Another wrote: “Can we just sign him up as a coaching staff?”

And finally, someone posted: “Three years with us seems like forever, hope to see you here soon in a coaching capacity when you hang up your boots.”

Evidently, Silva has a really good relationship with Chelsea supporters. In Chelsea’s final game of pre-season against Inter Milan, the Stamford Bridge faithful were heard chanting Silva’s name.

Levi Colwill, Chelsea’s new No.6

Silva wore the No.6 shirt during his time at Chelsea, which now belongs to Levi Colwill.

Colwill looks like he is going to be an important player for Chelsea this season and possibly England.

The central defender started in England’s 2-0 win against the Republic of Ireland last Saturday. The English media raved about Colwill after the game, with the Chelsea academy graduate doing a job at left-back.

As for Chelsea, he has started all three of their Premier League fixtures so far this season in central defence.

As of now, Colwill and Wesley Fofana are Enzo Maresca‘s two main centre-backs. Their next challenge is Bournemouth, whom they take on at the Vitality Stadium this weekend.
