Chelsea have excelled in the past few years in finding some of the world’s best young talents and signing them ahead of their rival clubs.

It has been the plan ever since Todd Boehly took over the club to move their priorities to signing younger stars, and next season there is the opportunity for two of the biggest names to make their mark.

Estevao Willian and Andrey Santos will both be in the first team squad for the 2025/26 season, and the midfielder has already been given the chance to stake his claim for next season during the Club World Cup.

The Blues have plenty of talents lined up for future seasons, and one of those is Dastan Satpaev, currently playing up front for Kairat Almaty in Kazakhstan.

Chelsea fans convinced they have a new superstar in Dastan Satpaev

The 16-year-old is already a full-time international, and has been stepping up during the club’s push to qualify for the Champions League group stages.

Satpaev scored a stunning goal to kickstart a brilliant turnaround victory in the second qualifying round, winning 3-0 to complete a 3-2 aggregate victory.

Chelsea fans are already very convinced by the talents of the youngster, and took to social media to share they were very excited about the player that will be joining them in two years’ time.

One user said: “Having this level of ball striking at 16 is nuts man, we need to provide a pathway for him.”

Another added: “Dastan Satpaev joins Chelsea in 2026 from Kairat in Kazakhstan. He has just scored this goal in UCL Qualifying at the age of 16! Very exciting prospect.”

A third claimed: “We cannot block Satpaev’s pathway I repeat we cannot I think we’ve found the best striker of the next generation.”

Another stated: “Satpaev is the truth, what he’s doing at 16 is not normal.”

Finally, one user said: “16yrs old kid leading the line and having a goal and assist in a UCL qualifier match…Dastan Satpaev isn’t your regular kid.”

Record-breaking Dastan Satpaev

Despite being in just the first months of his professional career, it has been an electric start for the striker for both club and country.

Satpaev is the youngest starter in Kazakhstan national team history, and is expected to be a regular in their squads for the coming years.

Satpaev is also the youngest goalscorer in Champions League history now, and will be hoping his side can qualify for the group stages of the competition for the first time.

This could set up a meeting with Chelsea, who are expected to be in pot one when the draw is made in August.
