The future is looking extremely bright for Chelsea, and one of their prospects has just made history in the Champions League.

The Blues will be returning to the top table of European football next season after their fourth placed finish in Enzo Maresca’s first season at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea will have young talent Estevao Willian available for the new season after he joins the club at the conclusion of the Club World Cup.

Estevao showed his class against the Blues in the quarter-finals of the competition, before being knocked out by Chelsea.

Chelsea wonderkid Dastan Satpaev breaks record for youngest Champions League goalscorer

Geovany Quenda, Kendry Paez and Mike Penders are all set to make their impact in years to come, and further down the line there will be an opportunity for Dastan Satpaev to make his mark.

The 16-year-old has taken to life brilliantly as a first team player. Satpaev scored six goals in his first five starts for Kazakhstan side Kairat Almaty.

They find themselves in the very early qualifying stages of the 2025/26 Champions League, and they picked up a 1-1 draw away from home against Olimpija in the first leg.

Satpaev was again on hand to score for his side, and in doing so set the record for being the youngest goalscorer in Champions League history.

The previous holder of that record was Ansu Fati, who scored at the age of 17 for Barcelona.

The deal to sign Satpaev was a Kazakhstan league record, and he will join up with the Blues when he turns 18 in just over a year’s time.

Satpaev breaking records for club and country

The youngster’s meteoric rise has also seen him make his first appearance for the Kazakhstan national team.

Satpaev was the youngest starter in his nation’s history, and looks set for a prolonged future as one of their big hopes in international football.

Chelsea will be closely monitoring the striker’s progress before he is eligible to move to Stamford Bridge.

One of Todd Boehly’s biggest successes since taking over the ownership of the club has been spotting the next young talents before other elite clubs, and Satpaev certainly fits into that category.
