While Chelsea are preparing for their own return to European football in the Conference League, they were forced to watch one of the sides currently below them in the Premier League take part in a marquee Champions League matchup.
Aston Villa made the trip to Paris to take on PSG on Wednesday, with them falling to a 3-1 defeat and leaving themselves in a precarious position in the tie.
After a really strong first half, Unai Emery made a change at half-time that saw Matty Cash subbed off for Chelsea loanee Axel Disasi.
Bringing the Frenchman on at right-back was always going to be a risky move for the visitors against one of the best attacks in Europe, something the Premier League club found out within minutes of his introduction.
Disasi was coming up against Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who has established himself as one of the most impactful wingers in world football.

Chelsea fans not impressed by Axel Disasi up against Khvicha Kvaratskhelia
The Blues were strongly linked with the signing of Kvaratskhelia before he moved to Paris, and they got a showing of what they were missing out on.
Chelsea fans were not impressed, but equally not surprised by what they had seen from their loanee up against the dangerous winger.
One user said: “Kvaratshkelia vs Disasi went exactly as expected then.”
Another added: “Disasi is so easy to turn.”
A third stated: “Ridiculous from Kvaratskhelia. True-purist talent. There’s no replacement for just clear, top-end quality from your wingers in these kind of systems. Makes such a difference. Disasi defending wide-areas (as we know) was always in trouble here. Insane.”
Another claimed: “Disasi at right-back I’ve seen under 3 managers, I am yet to see it work.”
A fellow Chelsea fan said: “There’s the Disasi we know and love!”
Finally, one user said: “Kvara that is one of the best goals I’ve ever seen wow. Him vs Disasi was always a terrible idea.”
Aston Villa’s stance on Axel Disasi
Villa manager Unai Emery was obsessed with signing Disasi on loan during the winter transfer window, calling im regularly to explain the project to the player.
This is why he was convinced about joining them. Disasi rejected Tottenham despite Chelsea preferring him to join them.
It has been reported Villa want to keep Disasi when the season comes to an end, however will not be the only Premier League side targeting a move for him.
He will be one of the first players who Chelsea are looking to get rid off when the transfer window opens again, with another clearout expected.
