Chelsea’s Under-21s side recorded another victory on Friday night, and Harvey Vale was the star of the show with his individual performance.
Chelsea’s U21s beat Leicester City 3-1 at Kingsmeadow in the Premier League 2 fixture.
Harvey Vale, 21, captained the Blues youngsters to a convincing league win yesterday.
The versatile attacker, who lined up on the right wing, scored two goals against Leicester. Also, Deivid Washington was on the scoresheet.
The Daily Mail recently claimed that Chelsea youngster Vale is rated by people at the club. In fact, many feel like the English talent should be closer to the first-team picture.

Chelsea fans hail Harvey Vale performance
A selection of Chelsea supporters on social media raved about the display from Vale in Friday’s win over Leicester. Interestingly, many people believe that the 21-year-old is too good to be playing in the academy.
Here are many Blues fans on X discussing Vale’s performance for the U21s:
@Young_mudryk10 wrote: “Why is he (Vale) not in the first team yet?”
@ClaroClarence claimed: ” From January he shouldn’t be playing this level anymore.”
@CFC_Nathan_ posted: “Harvey Vale is crying out for a loan way too good for this level.”
@JUGdaChelz said: “Hopefully they’re already preparing a move for him in January.”
Harvey Vale needs January move
Like mentioned above, Vale looks a level above in the Chelsea academy right now.
The left-footed attacker impressed last year during a season-long loan with Bristol Rovers in League One, playing 47 times across all competitions. He showed his versatility by starring as a left wing-back, scoring three goals and creating six assists.
We’d love to see him get a fresh transfer in the New Year to go and play first-team football elsewhere.
It’s an extremely tough task for any Chelsea youngster to break into the senior squad given the strength in depth, so a new loan could be the best step for his development.
Vale has played five first-team games in the past for the Blues, but the route into the main side may be getting harder and harder.
