The past few days have been turbulent for those of a Chelsea persuasion, and a significant portion of the fanbase has become frustrated with the decision-makers at the club.
Enzo Maresca’s exit was unexpected, but believable.
In the days preceding the news, reports suggested the Chelsea board were concerned about Maresca’s commitment and both sides had their own strong opinions on how things should be run.
Chelsea fans weren’t impressed with the Maresca news, and they were quick to point the finger to those at the top of the club’s hierarchy.
And it seems they will be taking their grievances a step further, judging by the announcement that came out on Friday evening.

Whatever your assessment of the past few weeks, there’s no denying Maresca was well-liked at the club.
The Chelsea boss got this team back to winning ways and recorded some of the best results we have had the pleasure of watching in recent years.
It’s not just his removal, but the underlying issues with off-field running of the club that fans have grown tired of.
The fan group Not A Project CFC released a statement to X in which they lay out plans for a protest before Chelsea’s January 17th home fixture against Brentford.

How do you feel about BlueCo after this week's news?
The group voice concerns over the recruitment strategy, micromanagement and ambition among other issues, and want to hold the decision-makers at the club to account.
The overarching issue being that Chelsea is “run less like an elite club and more like a player trading farm focused on churn, speculation, and long-term potential at the expense of present day competitiveness.”
It won’t be the first time the supporters have taken such measures against the current ownership. Hopefully, this one can bring about some sort of change.
A difficult time to take the Chelsea job
Whoever is chosen to replace Maresca will be coming into a tense environment from day one.
There are clearly problems at the club that will make fans very reactive to results.

What should expectations now be for the end of the season?
If the new hire struggles to get to grips with the job quickly, it won’t take much for the discontent to be amplified.
Liam Rosenior is the current favourite for the Chelsea job. He hasn’t been in a job of this magnitude before, and could find it difficult to win over fans if he doesn’t hit the ground running.
All in all, things are getting a bit concerning at Stamford Bridge.
