Even though we are approaching the final week of the summer transfer window, it looks as if Chelsea are by no means done when it comes to making signings.
New manager Enzo Maresca will likely have been wishing that his side had completed their business by now, so he can work on which players he feels can do the best job for him this season.
Even today has seen Chelsea announce Joao Felix as a new signing, with him returning to the club after his loan spell in 2023.

It has been reported that attack is not the only area of the pitch they are looking to strengthen this summer, and would love to bring in a new central defender too.
With some of the transfer business going on around the Premier League, it looks as if they have been handed the perfect chance to bring in a top option in that area.

Chelsea handed perfect chance to sign Marc Guehi
One player Chelsea have been linked with this summer is Marc Guehi, with him starring at Crystal Palace after leaving the Blues a few years ago.
Another top side who are interested in signing him is Newcastle United, however they have struggled to get to the valuation required to let him go.
Newcastle want Axel Disasi
In the face of that, Newcastle have shown interest in signing Axel Disasi from Chelsea, clearing a path for the Blues to move for Guehi.
It has been widely reported that a price tag of £65m will be enough for the England international to move on, and it is likely a sale at the back is going to be required before they sign another one.
They are also looking to part ways with Trevoh Chalobah, and looked to accelerate his move away from Stamford Bridge by leaving him off the pre-season tour of the United States.
While Palace have shown interest in the Englishman, there is so far no real progress on him moving away this summer.
