Chelsea defender Malo Gusto has been linked with a move away from the club, and the Blues have now set their price for him to depart this summer.

The Blues have already started to address the full-back position in the transfer market, with them set to announce the signing of Marco Palestra from Atalanta.

Xabi Alonso has made it clear he wanted Palestra at the club, with his ability to play at both full-back roles a real plus as far as the manager is concerned.

Chelsea want £40m from Man City for Malo Gusto

With Reece James clearly going nowhere, attention has turned to what the future may look like for Gusto now that another full-back is joining the club.

Manchester City have been linked with Gusto, and now Chelsea seem to have set their price for any interested parties to get rid of him this summer.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea have put a £75m price on Gusto if City want to bring him in to the club this summer.

The Blues signed the full-back for £30m, which would mean they would make a tidy profit if they were to get the fee they are hoping for.

Surely though, a fee of £75m would put any side off signing Gusto, who is currently spending the World Cup on the bench for France.

The Premier League’s runners-up currently have Matheus Nunes as their starting right-back, who was converted to the position by Pep Guardiola after joining the club as a central midfielder.

City move would be best possible career choice for Gusto

As a natural right-back, Gusto will fancy his chances at becoming a regular in the City side, who will be competing in the Champions League next season.

The France international has a great relationship with incoming manager Enzo Maresca too after their time working together at Stamford Bridge.

The Italian would even move Reece James out of his specialist position to allow Gusto to start crucial games, and it can be believed that the same would occur at the Etihad.

With Palestra coming in, opportunities will be more limited for the current Chelsea man, and exploring a move away would be the best possible course of action for Gusto.
